This year, Ambrosus Core updated variables of AMB-NET’s token economics in order to maintain its competitive edge and lay a foundation for new use cases for $AMB. This is possible as Ambrosus is expertly designed to seamlessly integrate and adapt to changes within the business landscape and blockchain industry.
The 2022 cryptoeconomic updates which are listed below are set to come into effect over the next week. There are no negative implications for masternode operators, or masternode and staking rewards.
Strategic adjustments
As a result of discussions between Ambrosus Ecosystem partners based on the events of 2021, it has been decided to start the new year by reducing the bundle price. A bundle on Ambrosus Network is a collection of up to 16,384 individual transactions of assets and events, and was set at a price of $25 USD.
The strategic decision has gone into effect to strengthen the network’s competitive advantage with regards to current and future ecosystem participants. As of 2022, the bundle price will be reduced to $8 USD.
After careful assessment of the tokenomics and the future of AMB-NET, the annual 10% token emission will be dismissed and replaced by an increased block reward set at a fixed rate of 14 AMB.
In parallel to these changes, the treasury reward for 2022 will decrease from 40% to 30%, as was outlined in the latest crypto economic model. This means that more rewards flow to masternode operators.
A quick overview of changes
The following changes do not negatively impact masternode and staking rewards.
- 10% annual emission is dismissed.
- Treasury reward is decreased to 30%.
- Block reward is increased to 14 AMB.
- The bundle price is reduced to $8 USD.
- The daily heartbeat bundle rate is now set at 300 bundles per day.
